I often coax animals into looking at the camera. I’m respectful but not too shy. I’ve always had a strong affinity for creatures, though not especially interested in holding frogs, petting snakes or finding myself in a gorilla’s cage – I prefer to admire them from a comfortable distance. Typically, I’m hiding behind my zoom lens and studying behaviors, moving around to get different backdrops and stretching my patience. It’s fun to me and a great way to spend time outdoors. I’m never bored.
