Look again. The abstract qualities of plants.

There is much to love about shooting abstract of any kind, but especially with plant life. The variety in color, shape and texture is incredible. I enjoy looking at, even everyday, plants and finding a new way to capture them – to expose a new characteristic, to explore a new angle and evoke a new emotion towards that particular plant.

When shooting abstracts of plant life, I’m usually not as interested in perfect lighting as I am unique shapes, colors and textures. The incredible variety of plants never let me down when I’m looking to see differently, explore something new and communicate the multi-faceted intrigue of plants.
