Consider This

Whenever possible, I try to make sure that my commercial interiors have a defined focal point; a subject that I wan the user’s eye to be drawn to. It’s dangerously easy to shoot a ‘flat’ image with lack of depth. That can usually be combated with foreground element(s).

Restaurants, stores and offices – shot to inspire.

This type of photography can be, at times, the easies and most difficult. Some interiors are very photogenic while others take very careful rearrangement, lighting and care to come across well on camera. Shooting commercial interiors means working in very different lighting conditions. Most often, the goal is to represent the space in a realistic, but still idealized, manner. Riding that line can pose unique challenges as well. I enjoy that challenge and am proud of these images and the opportunity to gain more experience with these in the future.

Sometimes the candid, ‘everyday’ look is desired, other times painstaking detail and post editing are needed to realize the vision needed to accomplish the communication goals.
