I’ve found that most interiors look great when shot about four feet from the floor. This gives the room a more grand feel and is a comfortable viewing angle.
Shooting cozy, intimate, livable spaces.
These take careful work to pull off. Special attention needs to be paid to lighting, positioning, exposure, angles, and preparing the space itself. Many times, light peering through windows can be problematic and can be combated with bracketed exposures and some post editing – in most cases.
Most of the time, I aim to create a sense of comfort and visually invite the viewer into the space. Some times, the goal is more about calling out certain features of the space. Honestly, I enjoy both.
