Melissa
Melissa’s a great model with very simple, pleasant and easy-to-shoot features. She photographs very well and this image was a proof from a test session in my studio. In order to give the image some extra punch, I performed the following edits.
01. |
I began by cleaning up the background by using the clone, healing and liquify tools. Annoying top-left shadow, be gone! |
02. |
Next, used the liquify tool to soften the curve of her shoulder. |
03. |
Then, I used the healing brush to smooth out skin and remove stray hairs. |
04. |
Finally, I added some selective sharpening and contrast enhancement to give the image more depth. |
I must say, this a great example of tasteful digital retouching. You enhanced the image while staying true to the model. Well done. I’d love to use this as an example in my class. I’ll shoot you an email. Thx.
That’s a high compliment. I really appreciated it. Knowing when to stop editing is a talent in itself!
Holy Toledo, so glad I clciked on this site first!
